Mission and Purpose: Acceptance of any contribution, gift, or grant is at the discretion of Kijani Pamoja (KP). KP will only accept gifts that align with its mission to promote environmental sustainability and community development in the Kilimanjaro region.
Financial Security: KP will not accept any irrevocable gift, whether outright or life-income in character, if under any reasonable set of circumstances, the gift would jeopardize the financial security of the donor.
Professional Advice: KP does not provide legal, tax, or financial advice. Donors are encouraged to seek independent professional advice to assist them in the process of making their donation.
Types of Gifts Accepted: KP accepts donations of cash and publicly traded securities. In-kind services may be accepted at the discretion of KP, provided they align with the organization's needs and mission.
Acknowledgments: KP will provide acknowledgments to donors meeting IRS substantiation requirements for property received by the charity as a gift. However, for gifts of cash and publicly traded securities, no value shall be ascribed to any receipt or other form of substantiation of a gift received by KP.
Intent of the Donor: KP will respect the intent of the donor relating to gifts for restricted purposes and those relating to the desire to remain anonymous. With respect to anonymous gifts, KP will restrict information about the donor to only those staff members with a need to know.
Transparency: KP is committed to transparency regarding the sources and use of donations. Information about KP's finances and programs is available upon request.
Amendments: These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time. Donors will be notified of any changes that affect their rights or obligations.
Legal Compliance: These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Tanzania. Donors agree that any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Tanzania.
